1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Royal Pawz. By accessing or using our mobile pet grooming services, website, or mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services. These terms apply to all users of the service, including clients and service providers.

2. Services Description

Royal Pawz provides premium mobile pet grooming services in the Houston, Texas area. Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Full-service grooming (bath, haircut, nail trim, ear cleaning, styling)
  • Bath and brush services
  • Nail trimming and filing
  • De-shedding treatments
  • Flea and tick treatments
  • Other grooming services as offered

All services are performed by licensed and insured professional groomers at your location using our fully-equipped mobile grooming van.

3. Booking and Scheduling

3.1 Account Creation

To book our services, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information including your name, email address, phone number, and physical address.

3.2 Pet Information

You must provide accurate information about your pet(s), including breed, size, age, temperament, and any health conditions or special needs that may affect grooming services.

3.3 Appointment Scheduling

Appointments are scheduled based on availability. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred date and time. Appointment times are approximate and may vary based on traffic and prior appointments.

4. Cancellation Policy

We understand that schedules change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Free Cancellation: Cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment at no charge.
  • Late Cancellation Fee: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the service cost.
  • No-Show Fee: Failure to be present at the scheduled appointment time may result in a full service charge.
  • Weather/Emergency: In cases of severe weather or emergencies, cancellation fees may be waived at our discretion.

Royal Pawz reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to groomer illness, equipment failure, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. No fees will be charged for appointments cancelled by Royal Pawz.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Payment Authorization

When you book a service, we authorize your payment card for the estimated service amount. This is not a charge-it's a temporary hold to verify your payment method.

5.2 Service Charges

Your card will only be charged after the grooming service is completed. The final charge may differ from the initial estimate if additional services are requested or if your pet requires extra care (e.g., severe matting, aggressive behavior requiring extra time).

5.3 Accepted Payment Methods

We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card information on our servers.

5.4 Tipping

Gratuities are appreciated but not required. You may add a tip through the app after service completion.

6. User Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your pet(s)
  • Disclose any health conditions, behavioral issues, or aggression history
  • Ensure your pet is up to date on vaccinations (rabies vaccination required)
  • Be present or have an authorized adult present during the appointment
  • Provide access to water and electricity if needed
  • Maintain a safe environment for our groomers
  • Restrain aggressive or dangerous pets if requested
  • Pay for services rendered in a timely manner

6.1 Friendly Dogs Only Policy

Royal Pawz only services friendly dogs that do not require muzzles during grooming.

For the safety and well-being of our professional groomers, and to ensure quality service for all our customers, we maintain a strict policy of servicing only dogs with friendly temperaments. Dogs that exhibit aggressive behavior, biting tendencies, or require muzzles for grooming will be denied service.

Clients must disclose any known behavioral issues, aggression history, or biting incidents when registering their pet. Failure to disclose such information may result in immediate service termination without refund and potential account suspension.

Royal Pawz reserves the right to refuse service to any pet that poses a safety risk to our groomers or is not suitable for grooming. Our groomers have the authority to stop service at any time if a pet displays aggressive behavior, and no refund will be provided in such cases.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 General Disclaimer

While we take utmost care in providing grooming services, pet grooming carries inherent risks. Royal Pawz, its owners, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for:

  • Pre-existing health conditions that become apparent during or after grooming
  • Injuries resulting from a pet's aggressive or unpredictable behavior
  • Complications arising from undisclosed health conditions
  • Clipper irritation or brush burn on pets with severely matted coats
  • Stress-related reactions in anxious pets

7.2 Maximum Liability

In any event, Royal Pawz's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the service in question.

7.3 Veterinary Care

We are not veterinarians. If your pet requires medical attention during grooming, we will contact you immediately. You are responsible for all veterinary costs.

8. Refund Policy

We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with our service:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of service completion
  • Provide specific details about your concerns
  • We will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include a partial refund, service redo, or full refund depending on the circumstances

Refunds are issued at our discretion and processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method.

9. Changes to Terms

Royal Pawz reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website or app. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
